Strong turnout at Savannah show
By IBI Magazine
A marked increase in attendance at this year's Savannah International Boat Show in Georgia is being hailed as a "positive sign of things to come" for the US boating industry.
According to show organiser JBM & Associates, more than 7,000 people flocked to this year's event, which ran from February 26-28 at the Savannah International Trade & Convention Centre — an 18 per cent increase over last year's total.
"This has been a very difficult year for the boating industry, but to see more than 7,000 people come and show support indicates that this industry may be struggling but it's not going anywhere," says show producer Jacqui Bomar.
The annual Savannah International Boat Show is said to be the largest in-water and convention center show from North Carolina to North Florida.
