Heesen opens Viareggio office

By IBI Magazine

Dutch superyacht builder Heesen Yachts has opened a Mediterranean office in the port of Viareggio, Italy. Managed by Heesen's sales and marketing director Fabio Ermetto, the new office is strictly dedicated to PR and media activities.

"The opening of the Italian office is the first step in our development plan," says Ermetto. "In the near future we plan to open further Public Relations offices in strategic locations.

"The Mediterranean Sea is a favourite detination for the majority of our yachts and Viareggio is at the very heart of our business," he adds. "A location in Via Coppino, the so-called '5th Avenue of the yachting industry', is the right place to meet press, designers and brokers."

Founded in 1978, Heesen Yachts is a leading builder of luxury super-fast yachts, sportsfishing vessels, and displacement as well as semi-displacement ships. The company is capable of building yachts from 37m-65m (121ft-213ft).
