MDRA adds economists to Creative Conference
By IBI Magazine
Organisers of the Marine Design Resource Alliance's Creative Conference in April said they are adding economists to the speaker's list because of heightened concern over the US economy within the marine industry. Anika Khan of Wachovia Bank is now scheduled to open the conference with a discussion on the economy and its impact on the marine industry. "There has been an overwhelming response from CEOs of leading marine manufacturers who are looking for insights into the current economic climate and how to affect their boat sales," said Peter Granata, MDRA president, in the statement. Dr. Barry Asmus, a senior economist for the National Center for Policy Analysis, will also deliver a presentation on America's future, during a separate session. Daniel Burrus, author of Technotrends and a leading forecaster of future technologies, will be the keynote speaker for the Creative Conference's second day.
