Tech Forum to focus on real life resin infusion
By IBI Magazine
This year's European Boatbuilder Technology Forum, which runs from November 14-15 at the Marine Equipment Trade Show (METS) in Amsterdam, is to host a seminar on real life resin infusion from series production projects at VT Halmatic and the construction of lifeboats for the UK's Royal Naval Lifeboat Institute (RNLI).
Richard Watson of VT Halmatic will discuss four current projects highlighting a range of materials and processes for use in wet resin infusion and the rationale for their selection, including a discussion on how repeatability and safety is achieved for production manufacture. Neil Chaplin of the RNLI will look at boat construction projects based primarily on dry resin fusion processes in his role as a principal naval architect for the RNLI.
The presentation, which is organised by European Boatbuilder magazine, is scheduled to take place from 16.00-17.30 on Tuesday, November 14. To reserve your seminar place and to see details of the full two-day programme, visit www.europeanboatbuilder.net.
