Exit Engineering parts ways with UK distributor
By IBI Magazine
Exit Engineering, an Italian supplier of carbon fibre structural components for boats, has ended its exclusive distribution agreement with the UK's Advance Yacht Systems with immediate effect. The decision was made by both companies following a thorough review of their distribution strategies.
"Due to the overwhelming success we have experienced with the 'systems' side of our business (and the consequential demand on our resources), we have decided to focus our efforts on our core business of distributing and servicing sales of generators, watermakers and air conditioning," says Rod Boreham of Advance Yacht Systems. "We have enjoyed working with Exit Engineering; their innovative products are well engineered and look superb."
Exit Engineering, which is based in Venice, Italy, will not be appointing a new national distributor in the UK and all businesses are asked to deal with them directly. The move towards single-step distribution is expected to further strengthen the company's business partnerships. "Since establishing Exit Engineering three years ago, we have experienced outstanding success, with growth rates over 350 per cent per year," says Giuseppe Bottacin of Exit Engineering. "Furthermore, we have found that the structure of our market is different from that anticipated when we started. The outcome is that a shorter distribution chain will benefit both our customers and us."
